This is it, folks, our annual Sausage Tasting Competition is back at the Market on 3 February. This is where YOU get to decide the best sausage in Prahran Market!
Join us at SIZZLEFEST on Sunday 3 Feb for your chance to taste and vote for entries in this year’s Sausage Tasting Competition.
The sausages entered in the Sausage Tasting Competition by each Trader will be cooked up by a team of skilled chefs.
Shoppers will be encouraged to cast their votes once all varieties have been sampled.
Everyone who votes in the Sausage Tasting will go in the draw to win *PRIZES*!
Believe us when we say that you’re going to want to be in this to win it.
Oh, and we’re giving prizes to the winning Market Trader too!
What will be the winning recipe?
Who will take out the coveted prize?
Will the team at Arthurs Quality Poultry be on top for the second year running? Or will one of the closely placed 2018 runners-up Kevins Poultry and Ian’s Quality Meats take out the top gong this year? Or will the names on the leader-board change completely.
All we can say for now is that the tension in Bracher Arcade is mounting and the creativity flowing as our butchers and poulterers finalise their recipes for entry.
Our prediction right now is that it’s still anyone’s race!

SIZZLEFEST 2019 COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

First Prize: Hamper of Bracher Arcade Specialities (value approx. $350)
Second Prize: A Bracher Arcade Meat Tray (value approx $100)
Third Prize: Tray of Prize Winning Sausages (value approx $50)
- Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
- Entry is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia who are 18 years of age and over. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies (traders) associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
- To enter for first, second and third prize, each entrant must, during the Promotional Period:
- Complete the competition entry form in full, providing name, email address, and their vote for the best Market snag AND:
- Tick the box to subscribe to the Prahran Market e-newsletter.
- Regardless of which prize the entrant is eligible for they also must:
- Only enter the competition once – any entrants with multiple entries will be disqualified.
- Be available to pick up their prize from Prahran Market (163 Commercial Road, South Yarra, 3141) (or send somebody else in their place).
- The promotion commences at 12pm AEST on 3rd February and closes at 2pm AEST on 3rd February 2019 (“Promotional Period”). No late entries will be accepted.
- The winner will be drawn at Prahran Market, 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra 3141 on Monday 4th February at 10.00am AEST.
- The winner will be announced on 5th February 2019 at 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra. All entry form questions must be answered in order for an entry to be valid. Winners will be notified on the 5th February 2019 by email. The winners MUST confirm their acceptance of the prize by return email by 12noon AEST 6th February, 2019.
- In the event of a prize not being claimed, a new winner will be selected and notified on 7th February, 2019.
- There are 3 prizes to be won.
- Winners will need to contact Prahran Market to arrange pickup of prizes. Notice of pickup must be given at least 2 days in advance.
- Pickups can only occur on Market Days, during Market Trading Hours.
- Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The contents of each pack will be at the discretion of the butcher/poulterer providing the pack for that month. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into.
- The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion.
- If any prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various authorities
- The name of the winners and their winning entry will be published on www.prahranmarket.com.au.
- The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity and/or university enrolment and course being studied for, residential address of winners and any other information from entrants relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
- Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
- Entries remain the property of the Promoter.
