Your Guide to Eating at Prahran Market’s Say Cheese Festival

Saturday 22nd October 2016

Bigger & Better than Ever Before

Our Say Cheese festival is back for yet another year and this time it’s bigger and better than ever before! We’ve got a stack of exhibitors, loads of tastings, and a bunch of cheesy delights for you to get your hands on. This year we’ve even spilled onto Elizabeth Street so there’s more space to enjoy your cheese. With everything from wagyu cheeseburgers, to charcoal gnocchi, twice baked goat’s cheese soufflé and vegan cheeses just to name a few – you’ll have more than enough to sink your teeth into this Saturday.

Plus, make sure you catch the cheesy cooking demos in the Omega & Neil Perry Kitchen; have your photo snapped by Melbourne Memories to be in with a chance to win a $200 cheese hamper; and get involved in the free goat feeding activity!

We’ve got loads of cheesy offerings all day, but see below for a snapshot of what you can expect to be eating. If you consider yourself a cheese lover, this is definitely your event.

If you haven’t had the pleasure of trying 48h Gnocchi’s charcoal gnocchi, our Say Cheese festival is your chance. Intertwined with gorgonzola cheese, radicchio and a splash of vincotto, this incredible dish tastes just as good as it looks. 48H Gnoccheria also has a stack of other cheesy delights available on the day too, including its highly coveted potato gnocchi, and buffalo milk panacotta – delish.

Think slices of Aphrodite halloumi, handmade in Cyprus from a combination of goat’s and ewe’s milk. Do yourself a favour and get one of these quick smart.

Wagyu Cheeseburger – Neil’s Meats
There really isn’t anything better than a thick, juicy cheeseburger – especially when it’s wagyu beef AND comes directly from the butcher. Then, find a spot to sit and enjoy what is definitely one of Melbourne’s best wagyu burgers.
