Cooking Haloumi like a pro is easy!

Alice in Frames shows you how to cook Haloumi at home!

  1. Heat a griddle pan over high heat.
  2. Slice the cheese into 1cm thick slabs and rub with some good quality olive oil.
  3. Place the oiled slabs onto the hot griddle pan – they will sizzle.  Wait until brown (check them by lifting up the corner- but usually 1 -2 minutes) and then flip onto the other side.
  4. Once the second side is equally as brown, take it off the heat.
  5. Place it on a serving platter and scatter some fresh rocket, herbs, red onion, another drizzle of olive oil, a touch of salt and pepper and Voila!
