Pomegranates, Persimmons, Feijoas oh my!

This month’s A-Team ingredients take a notably exotic turn, with pomegranate, persimmon and feijoas on offer, along with the textural addition of almonds. Winter is a time when the fruit offering becomes increasingly more utilitarian, so taking advantage of these hardier fruits is a great way of staving off the tedium of staring at apples, pears and oranges.

But you also don’t have to wait until these ingredients are in season before giving them a whirl; pomegranate molasses, almond meal and feijoa jam can be features of your kitchen at any time of year.
