Meringues – How-to video

Perfect meringues every time!

Meringues are absolutely delicious and can be used for a multitude of desserts from decadent pavlovas, to on their own with a tasty coulis and cream.

  1. Separate 2 eggs at room temperature.
  2. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form, then add 1/2 cup of castor sugar gradually.
  3. Add in a splash of vanilla.
  4. Place spoonfuls of meringue on a lined baking tray.
  5. Put tray in a preheated oven at 150 degrees and bake for 45 minutes.
  6. Turn oven off and allow them to cool completely while in the oven.

Enjoy with a spoonful of whipped cream topped with your own home made raspberry coulis!
