OPEN Easter Saturday & Sunday!

How to #SayCheese2018: Your Festival Guide

So you’re all set to head into the Market this Sunday for our fifth annual Say Cheese Festival #SayCheese2018.

We’ve put this Post together so that you can get the most out of your day – and live your very best Say Cheese life.  See you on Sunday 28 October!

EXPLORE THE CHEESE
Starting on Elizabeth Street and through The Essential Ingredient, savour a cheese plate or two and explore cheese accompaniments before heading into Market Square for more. Wander into the Deli Arcade where you will graze through a selection of incredible cheese boards, dips and charcuterie. Keep an eye out for take-home specials before heading up to the Mezzanine for the perfect finish.

GRAZE CHEESE EATS
Begin your adventure in Market Square for some delicious cheese dishes, before wandering through Bracher Arcade to sample some take-home cheesy goodness. Head out onto Elizabeth Street for savoury and sweet cheese creations, before venturing into Harvest Hall for more. Don’t forget to stop off at the Omega Neil Perry Kitchen to get inspired with cheesy cooking tips from our  Omega Neil Perry Demonstration stage, then back into Market Square for more bites, good music and relaxation!

TO ENJOY
We’ve got music and entertainment throughout the day, including our friends the Bearded Bakers, dancing and singing while they whip up their delicious Knafeh! We’ve got live music on the Mezzanine and over Market Square and a DJ in Harvest Hall. There’s roving entertainers and face painting for the kids.

TO EXPLORE
Catch a demonstration or two on the Omega Neil Perry Kitchen stage: with chef and author Tobie Puttock on the mic, we’ve got The Bearded Bakers kicking us off, followed by Ryan Spurrell (Wilson & Market) Anthony Femia (Maker & Monger), Karen Martini (Better Homes & Gardens), Will Studd, with Sam & Ellie Studd, and Bob Hart (author of Melt).

TO EXPERIMENT
We’ve included some limited-ticket tasting sessions for grown-ups, including Beer with Cheese, Prosecco with Cheese, Sake with Cheese and Tea with Cheese. You’ll find those sessions on the Mezzanine (or in Wilson & Market for the Beer & Cheese session). If you missed out on a ticket, head into Libertea with your cheese and they will help you choose the perfect tea tipple to match your cheese at home.  Or just pair your own, by grabbing any one of the tasty selections on offer around the Market and grabbing a glass of your favourite tipple from one of our bars.

TO TAKE HOME
Collect your FREE cookbook Melt by Bob Hart & Will Studd in Harvest Hall (Opposite Van di Vino) – all you need to do is download the Prahran Market Festival app and sign up for our newsletter and it’s yours. Head for the Van di Vino Bar in Harvest Hall and it will be right opposite.  We’re also giving away a $150 Prahran Market cheese hamper – just use our hashtags when you share your pics on Instagram during the festival for your chance to win!
