Ah Autumn: with all things earthy, lush, vibrant and crisp, we do love you. Which is why we’re celebrating during May at Prahran Market with our very first Autumn Harvest Celebration!

Join us food lovers as we get close to the best that this time of year has to offer.

We’ll have guests and Traders sharing autumn favourites in our Neil Perry by Omega Demonstration Kitchen, with a great lineup that includes Prahran Market Brand Ambassador Tobie Puttock on the mic as MC.  Scroll down for the full program.

Taste some of the season’s best produce and get inspired with new seasonal flavours around the Market.

Catch a ‘how to’ demo by The Social Food Project where you can learn how to preserve your season’s harvest for the coolest months to come (details here).

Don’t miss the special butchery class preview by Gary’s Meats.  Yes, you read that right – Gary’s are starting up their butchery classes again here at Prahran Market, so believe us when we say you are going to want the low-down on those. See the full schedule here.

Then grab a glass from the Blackhearts and Sparrows (serving wines by the glass), a plate of cheese and dips from Naheda’s – both popping up in Market Square – and settle in for a fun and FREE afternoon talking seasonality and wine with our friends from Not Serious Wine Chats. Full details and ticket registrations here.

Later in the month, come in for a special session hosted by Hagen’s Organics on Saturday 25th May, where they’ll welcome local producers of the rare heritage breed British White Cattle, Brooklands Free Range Farms, to Prahran Market. The event will include butchery demonstrations, product tastings and the opportunity to connect with the farmer. Hagen’s is the first retailer in Australia to sell British White Beef directly to their customers so they are particularly excited for this showcase event, which will also include paired wines from Blackhearts & Sparrows. Tickets are priced $22. For full details and to buy tickets, click here.

Q Le Baker is getting involved too, popping up with a delicious Mortadella Sub Bar for your quick eats. The mortadella subs are made with Gary’s Quality Meats mortadella, Pepe Saya butter, Q homemade pickles and Q sourdough ciabatta, priced $12 each. They’ll be there each weekend in May (excluding Sunday 12th) preparing the subs fresh on the spot at their Deli Arcade window.

Plus an Autumn themed food photography workshop hosted by Olympus (ticketed, details here).

We’ll have music and even a few things for the kids!

Check back here for ticketing and updates.

(Note: event is free although there may be a charge on some ticketed sessions).
