Recipe by Tad Lombardo

Waffles are just as good savoury as they are sweet! Learn how to make your very own batch in just a few simple steps.

  • Belgian Waffles (see recipe)
  • 500g Cream Cheese, softened
  • ½ Cup Dried Chives
  • ½ Cup Pecans, roasted, finely chopped
  • ¼ Tsp Salt
  • Icing Sugar to dust
  1. Place the cream cheese into a food processor and mix until creamy. Add salt, pecans and chives and process until well combined. Chill this mixture for 20 minutes.
  2. Make waffles (see Belgian Waffle Recipe).
  3. Cut waffles into triangles (four per waffle.) Fill each triangle with about a tablespoon of the cream cheese mixture and fold over. Chill for a further 20 minutes. To serve your waffles with cream cheese, chives and pecans,  arrange on a serving tray and dust with icing sugar.
