The team at Gary’s Meats invite you to join them in welcoming WA producers of the much talked about Mottainai LambOmega Lamb Company, as together they host a very special day of FREE demonstrations and tastings at the Prahran Market.

Considered the ‘Wagyu of lamb’ due to its distinct marbling, Mottainai Lambs are raised on recycled organics, including leftover carrots and olives destined for landfill. This process is reflected in the name “mottainai”, which is a Japanese term for ‘regret over the waste of something useful’. The result – light, clean, sweet-tasting meat, with a buttery richness that’s full of umami goodness.

Omega Lamb Company have invested $3 million into studying the feeding results, committed to experimenting with a new type of sustainable food production that reduces landfill, recycles organic waste and respects the animal. They’ve partnered up with Gary McBean from Gary’s Meats to bring Mottainai Lamb to the Prahran Market, Gary’s currently being the only supplier of the rare breed in Melbourne.

Omega Lamb and Gary’s Meats will be running hourly FREE demos, with product tastings and the opportunity to hear from the farmers, all happening from 11 am – 2 pm.
