The chill of spring has come and gone, and with the warmer weather finally with us, the time has come for us to bid farewell to the wonderful Dezi Cooks and introduce a new Sourced and Seasoned contributor to you all. And on that note, please join us in welcoming home cook and food creative extraordinaire, Jessica Nguyen *waves*.

Jessica Nguyen is a home cook and food creative living in Melbourne/ Naarm, whose mission is to inspire people to cook, drink and throw parties at home for themselves and for the people around them, one Instagram post at a time.

She shares easy to follow step-by-step recipes on her Instagram via ‘Stories’ which are saved down as ‘Highlights’ for people to refer back to and recreate at any time. Whilst most are food recipes, there’s also plenty of cocktail recipes and tablescapes for every theme or occasion to inspire you to take your dinner parties to a whole new level.

Whilst she has always been obsessed with food, she spent the last 10 years in the beauty industry working in various Marketing & PR roles, before fatefully being made redundant in March 2020 just as COVID-19 was announced a global pandemic. Unprecedented times became an opportunity to finally turn her food passion into a new career, essentially ‘cooking her way out of COVID’ and building it into a full-time business.
