Candied Walnuts

Recipe by Tad Lombardo

Pick up some fresh Victorian walnuts at the Sweet and Nut Shop or the Nut Stand.

  • 2 cups caster sugar
  • 455g walnuts
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 90 ml orange juice
  1. Preheat oven to 175°C.
  2. In a bowl, toss 1 cup of the sugar with the other ingredients and mix well.
  3. Pour mixture on to a cookie sheet, spread evenly, and bake for 20 minutes.
  4. Remove from the oven, sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of sugar over the top and mix.
  5. Allow your candied walnuts to cool before serving.
