Ever wondered how to reduce the food waste in your household? Lost for ideas on transforming ‘waste’ into deliciousness?

Then this demo is for you!

2019 Masterchef contestants Mandy Hall and Simon Toohey, are passionate about sustainability and will be providing plenty of inspiration of how you can create tasty snacks, sauces and dishes from food that most people would throw away.

Mandy is a keen and well-established fermenter with a strong interest in farm to plate, while Simon also has a strong interest in fermentation has been working a great deal on food waste and sustainability.

You will learn how to make celery salt from celery leaves (a great addition to the spice rack), pumpkin skin nachos, carrot top pesto and how to turn banana peel into a vegan ‘pulled pork’.

This demonstration will be a great opportunity to hear from Masterchef contestants Mandy and Simon and see how you can contribute to reducing food waste in a very tasty way!
