Every ThursdayAsk your own personal culinary expert all your questions and learn new tricks at our fabulous weekly demonstrations and tastings.
We specifically tailor our cookery demonstrations to use the best seasonal produce in the market at the time so you can enjoy the freshest and most flavoursome produce.

Between 11am and 1pm at the Blanco Demonstration Kitchen. Walter will be cooking a range of delectable dishes, all made with local Victorian produce from the Prahran Market. Come along, take a recipe card and learn from the expert!

Cioccolato Lombardo Chocolate Demonstration – February 25th 10:30AM to 1:00PM
Today’s Event in the Blanco Kitchen includes a demonstration by Tad Lombardo, Owner & Head Chocolatier at Cioccolato Lombardo.
The demonstration will start with a brief discussion about chocolate and tempering and will lead into a demonstration showing how artisan chocolates are made.
Our Felchlin Swiss Couverture will be showcased during this event.
There will be chocolate tastings as well as a bit of fun. There will be a competition held during the demonstration and the lucky winner will receive a box of 12 Cioccolato Lombardo Artisan Chocolates as well as signature Cioccolato Lombardo Apron. We look forward to seeing you there!!

Melbourne Food and Wine Festivel Event

Join us March 10th, between 10am and 2pm for our 2012 Melbourne Food and Wine Event, Secret Cooks Challenge. Watch Country Women’s Association of Victoria teams battle it out to make the best 30 minute dish, using a box of mystery ingredients. Mix 101.1FM’s street team will hand out prizes from 12.30pm.
10.00am: Welcome and first mystery box is presented
10.30am: Teams commence cooking ‘Moreish Mains’
11.00am: Time’s up!
11.15am: Audience votes and winning team is announced
12.30pm: Welcome and second mystery box is presented
12.30pm: 101.1 Mix FM team arrive and hand out prizes

The Great Chocolate Easter Egg Giveaway

Prahran Market will host the ‘great chocolate Easter Egg giveaway', open to all children under 16 years. Head down to Market Square with your child between 10am and 11am to grab their free delicious chocolate Easter Egg, lovingly made by our very own Chocolatier, Tad Lombardo from Cioccolato Lombardo.
An appearance may also be made by the Easter Bunny!!!
One egg per child. Until stocks run out.
