About
Portside is a new way to shop for seafood: transparent, seasonal and guided by people who know the water best. Led by Stephen Nairn (Culinary Director of Omnia, Yugen and Yugen Tea Bar), we work directly with a small network of trusted fishers across Australia, built on relationships formed over years in professional kitchens. Every fillet passes through just two sets of hands, theirs and ours, so you know exactly where it comes from.
At our counter, you’ll find beautifully handled, ultra-seasonal seafood: deboned ocean trout ready for the oven, sweet, hand-picked crab, cured and smoked garfish, plus lesser-seen species worth discovering. It’s restaurant-quality without the fuss, with friendly advice, simple cooking tips, and a thoughtful edit of housemade sauces, stocks and wines to match.
