Lazy Sunday Starts

There’s nothing better than a sleep-in and Sundays are the best days to indulge. Our Sunday Market starts at 10 am so there’s no need to feel guilty! Although, if you are an early bird, we do have a selection of traders who are ready to serve a little earlier.

Breakfast for Champions

You can enjoy that little bit of extra time in bed knowing you can enjoy a lazy Sunday breakfast at the Market.

Choose a piping hot breakfast from eateries such as Mr Hoddle (we are particularly taken with their buttermilk waffles with fresh strawberries and pistachio syrup), Mama Marija’s (think homemade french toast with locally grown berries and maple syrup) and Seoul Salon (from Korean inspired omelettes to a simple yet delicious egg scramble on toast).  Or if you’re after something lighter, perhaps a mouth-watering, buttery pastry from Q Le Baker, Noisette or Sweet Greek will do the trick.

Perhaps you’ll be tempted by the creamy and gooey Swiss Raclette or range of decadent oozy cheese toasties from Maker & Monger, accompanied by a world-class coffee from Jaspers or Market Lane.

Iconic weekend morsels

Market Lane’s weekend mushroom burgers are synonymous with Sunday Market days, and if you haven’t tried one yet, now’s the time! Featuring a large Portobello mushroom from Damian Pike with luxurious French herb butter, tangy chipotle mayonnaise, sweet onions and Parmesan cheese, this little guy is going to be your new best friend. Don’t believe us, just check out the queue every Saturday and Sunday morning!

It’s the perfect way to brighten up your mood, especially if you’re recovering from a particularly festive Saturday night…

Get ready

Get your week’s meals, including the kids’ lunchboxes, sorted in one go with a Sunday Market shop. With our traders selling everything from fruit & veg to meat & fish and deli selections to delicious sweets, you can easily organise your week ahead.

And if you want to cheat but still enjoy a delicious and nutritious meal for Sunday dinner, head to the Fresh Pasta Shop, Cleo’s or The Mussel Pot for a ready-prepared, take-home meal.  And if you’re after recipe inspiration, we can also help with that too; check out our recipe section!

Flower Power

Nothing says Sunday more than flower and plant shopping! They transform your home so treat yourself to a bunch of blooms – or two or three…

Flawless Flowers, Clara’s Flowers and Prahran Garden Center have ready-made bouquets and stunning plants as well as the expertise to create a stunning custom arrangement to suit your home.

Who knows, maybe Monday won’t be so bad if you’ve got gorgeous blooms to enjoy…

Sunday Bargains

Everyone loves a bargain and Sunday Market days are the best time to find them. Make sure you visit Harvest Hall in the afternoon to snap up your favourite fruit & veg for a discounted price as our traders spruik the specials of the day.  Then head on over to the Bracher Arcade to see what meat and fish bargains are on offer.  But be warned – they don’t last long, so you need to be quick.

Wind down in the Square

Our leafy green Market Square is the perfect place to take a pit stop after a successful Sunday Market shop.  Grab a spot in the sun, or relax under one of our Market umbrellas.

Hungry again? With the Market’s restaurants, cafes and food stalls all offering something different, we’ve got you covered.   From freshly rolled sushi to twice cooked pork belly rolls to traditional German bratwurst to a decadent three-course lazy lunch – you’ve got options.

Make sure your visit is between noon and 3 pm and enjoy up and coming DJs, solo artists and duos in a funky range of musical genres to suit every taste.  What better way to spend a Sunday than supporting Melbourne’s thriving live music scene, sipping on a glass of wine and just lapping up the bustling Market atmosphere.

Oh, and if you’ve brought the kids- there’s free face painting too.

So we’ll see you this Sunday?
