Our annual Sausage Tasting Competition is back in 2022 and we need YOU to help us choose the best sausage in Prahran Market!

Join us at Sizzlefest on Sunday 20 March for your chance to taste and vote for entries in this year’s Sausage Tasting Competition.

The sausages entered in the Sausage Tasting Competition by each Trader will be cooked up by a team of skilled chefs.

Ticketholders will be encouraged to cast their votes online via the provided QR code once all varieties have been sampled.

Everyone who votes in the Sausage Tasting and subscribes to the Prahran Market eNewsletter will go into the draw to win a $200 meat tray from the winning Trader. View all our Melbourne butchers.

SIZZLEFEST 2022 COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these conditions. Entries must comply with these conditions to be valid.
2. Entry is open to residents of New Zealand and Australia who are 18 years of age and over. Employees and their immediate families of the Promoter and its agencies (traders) associated with this promotion are ineligible to enter.
3. To enter, each entrant must, during the promotional period at Sizzlefest Day 2:
   1. Complete the competition entry form in full, providing name, email address, and their vote for the best Market snag AND:
   2. Subscribe to the Prahran Market e-newsletter.
4. The entrant must:
   1. Only enter the competition once – any entrants with multiple entries will be disqualified.
   2. Be available to pick up their prize from Prahran Market (163 Commercial Road, South Yarra, 3141) (or send somebody else in their place).
5. The promotion commences at 1 pm AEST on 20 March and closes at 3.30 pm AEST on 20 March 2022 (“Promotional Period”). No late entries will be accepted.
6. The winner will be drawn at Prahran Market, 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra 3141 on Thursday 24th March AEST.
7. The winner will be announced on 24th March 2022 at 163 Commercial Road, South Yarra.  All entry form questions must be answered in order for an entry to be valid. Winners will be notified on the 24th March 2022 by email. The winners MUST confirm their acceptance of the prize by return email by 12noon AEST 25th March 2022.
8. In the event of a prize not being claimed, a new winner will be selected and notified on 28th March, 2022.
9. Winners will need to contact Prahran Market to arrange pickup of prize. Notice of pickup must be given at least 2 days in advance.
10. Pickups can only occur on Market Days, during Market Trading Hours.
11. Prizes are not transferable and are not redeemable for cash. The contents of the pack will be at the discretion of the butcher/poulterer providing the pack. The Promoter’s decision is final and binding – no correspondence will be entered into.
12. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any failure to receive an entry or for inaccurate information or for any loss, damage or injury as a result of technical or telecommunications problems, including security breaches. If such problems arise, then the Promoter may (where necessary with the approval of the relevant lottery authority) modify, cancel, terminate or suspend the promotion.
13. If the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter may substitute a prize of equal or greater value, subject to any written directions from the various authorities
14. The Promoter reserves the right to request verification of age, identity and/or university enrolment and course being studied for, residential address of winners and any other information from entrants relevant to entry into or participation in this promotion. Verification is at the discretion of the Promoter, whose decision is final. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any individual who provides false information, fails to provide information, conspires with others to gain an unfair advantage or who is otherwise involved in any way in manipulating, interfering or tampering with the conduct of this promotion.
15. Entrants consent to the Promoter using their name, image and/or voice in the event that they are a winner in any media for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for the purpose of promoting this promotion (including any outcome) and/or promoting any products manufactured, distributed and/or supplied by the Promoter.
16. Entries remain the property of the Promoter. Details from entries will be collected and used for the purposes of conducting this promotion (which may include disclosure to third parties for the purpose of processing and conducting the promotion) and for promotional purposes surrounding this promotion. By entering this promotion entrants consent to the use of their information as described and agree that the Promoter may use this information, or disclose it to other organisations that may use it, in any media for future promotional purposes without any further reference or payment to the entrant.
