Sizzlefest 2021 Wrap-Up & Competition Results

We celebrated Sizzlefest this year over three sizzling days and two flame-filled nights, coming together with BBQ-lovers near and far to pay homage to the humble barbie the only way we know how – through FOOD!

So, what did you miss out on at Sizzlefest 2021, you ask?

There were exhibitors grilling up finger-licking tastes from the Philippines all the way to Colombia, Market Traders selling both vegan and grilled meat specialties out in Market Square, cooking demos from some of Melbourne’s best chefs in the Harvest Hall kitchen, hosted by the awesome Simon Toohey, and BBQ workshops for all ages from the pit master legends at The Que Club, who live and breathe for the barbie.

Up on the Mezzanine, the Burnley Brewing Beer Garden was vibing, with ice-cold brews on tap, live music from the city’s top performers, and fire-twirling acts entertaining punters from sundown till late.

And how can we forget, the Annual Sausage Tasting Competition, where we find out which butcher/poulterer takes out the title of ‘Best Market Snag’.
