Prahran Market, Neil Perry and Omega Kitchen



Gary’s Meats will be launching a series of workshops at Prahran Market next month, and with 45 years’ experience in butchery, there’s no one better to learn from!


What is it?


The workshop will start with Gary showing you how to break down a whole lamb and demonstrate different ways to prepare each of the prime cuts. Then, you will be given your own side of lamb for the hands-on butchery class, with Gary guiding you through. Each class has a maximum of four participants, so there’s plenty of one-on-one time to learn with Gary. The workshop will be 2-3 hours.


What will you get?


On top of learning from the best, you will get a side of Organic Salt Bush Lamb (worth nearly $300) to work with during the class and take home to enjoy, as well as a butcher’s knife, butcher’s apron and a tea towel.


Where are the classes and how much do they cost?


The butchery classes will run from the Market’s Omega Neil Perry Kitchen in Harvest Hall and are $499 per person.
